Workshops and learn-to events are a wonderful opportunity to get creative and try something new. Saskatoon Holiday Workshops
Craft School YXE: Check out Craft School YXE’s clay ornament workshop, and make some handmade decorations to spice up your Christmas tree this year. They also offer a variety of other workshops in many mediums, including weaving, painting and embroidery. Give the gift of arts and crafts this year with one of their workshops, or sign up for something before Christmas and learn how to make amazing gifts for all your loved ones. Dutch Growers Workshops: To start with, Dutch Growers is an amazing place to visit for all your holiday decor and gifting needs, but they also offer workshops. You can learn how to make a cute holiday arrangement for your home, complete with greenery, pinecones and stunning reds.
Hawthorn Floral Atelier Workshops: Based out of Warman, Hawthorn Floral Atelier offers a wide selection of Christmas workshops, including decorative workshops for Christmas wreaths, outdoor planters, and a workshop to make a super cute Grinch tree. They also have a Christmas cookie decorating one for adults, which will have you creating cookies that look almost too good to eat.
Florence & Flora Workshop: Check out a Winter Wreath Workshop hosted by local florist Florence & Flora. In this workshop, you will create your own holiday wreath using a range of evergreens to suit your style. This workshop is hosted at Revolve Cafe and snacks will also be provided from Pals Donuts.
Wet Paint Pottery classes: Wet Paint Pottery offers a number of adult art classes where you can learn how to make a unique decoration or statement piece for your home. Some of their holiday classes this year include a class on fused glass Christmas ornaments, a Lighted Tree Painting event, and a Christmas Countdown sign class. Every Thursday they have a Ladies Night, so get some friends together and have some fun painting pottery!
Regina Holiday Classes
Wascana Flower Shoppe: The Wascana Flower Shoppe has some really unique holiday classes, such as their Grinch Tree class, and even a Succulent Nativity Class, where you create your own nativity scene made from succulents. If you’re looking to host a private party, they do that too, making this is a great reason to get some friends together or book a workshop as a work Christmas party.
Sherwood Greenhouse & Garden Centre Workshops: Check out Sherwood Greenhouse and Garden Centre for Holiday Wreath Workshops, which will teach you how to make a beautiful wreath to last the season. All materials are provided and the workshop is offered on a couple of different dates, making it easy to fit into your schedule.
Christmas Sign Painting Class: This class is hosted by Prairie Vintage Revival and will teach you how to paint some unique Christmas signs that you can use to decorate your home, or give as gifts. The class will cover milk paint, chalk paint, and stencil use, and Christmas treats will be provided as you listen to Christmas music in the background. It’s a great event to get your holiday spirit in full swing.
Schoolhaus Culinary Arts: Check out a class at Schoolhaus Culinary Arts that will help you prepare for one of the most important parts of the holidays — the food! They have a Winter Dinner Party Date Night class, a Kids Bake class with holiday treats and edible gifts, and a Small Business Holiday Feast class which functions as a totally unique work holiday party.
Cathedral Art School Workshops: Cathedral hosts adult art workshops where you can learn a variety of skills, including pottery and alcohol ink, which is a newly popular medium of art. For a creative gift, give the gift of an art class to someone, or go for one of their gift cards, which can also be used on classes.
