The India Canada Association of Saskatchewan Inc. (ICA) is hosting the 37th India Supper Night at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. This year’s recipient charity is The Caring Place, a non-profit organization that provides support for mental health and addiction counselling to more than 5,000 people each year — helping them find their way back to a place of purpose, passion and joy!

The Caring Place is the winner of the 2019 Consumer Choice Award in Counselling — a real honour for a charity. Funds raised through this ICA dinner will go toward a new Capital Campaign to help fund “The House that Caring Built” — a haven of hope for thousands of people who are broken by grief, depression, fear and prejudice. It will provide safe, respectful professional counselling, group classes, talking circles and art therapy that will help them realize hope and discover their personal dreams.

The fun-filled event on September 7 will celebrate 37 years of East Indian cuisine, community and culture in Regina. Tickets are $125 each, qualifying you for a $65 charitable tax receipt. A corporate table of 8 people is just $950 and will receive recognition on the India Supper Night brochure and the gala slide show.

The ICA has selflessly supported various charities for more than three decades through its India Supper Night. Over the last 36 years, they have raised nearly $1,000,000 for local and international charities. Some of these include The Red Cross, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, UNICEF, Hospitals of Regina Foundation, Canadian Mental Health Association, Autism Resources and many more. The organization also funds a scholarship for students administered by the University of Regina.
