As soon as fall hits, it’s suddenly time for pumpkin themed everything! October is the best month to join in on this delicious trend, as cafes and restaurants everywhere get creative with the season’s best. Beyond the classic pumpkin spice latte (but don’t worry, there’s plenty of that, too!), check out these Saskatoon and Regina restaurants, cafes and bakeshops that are featuring plenty of pumpkin everything to help you enjoy the season to the fullest.

Pumpkin Delights in Saskatoon

Calories Restaurant: Calories features tons of delicious pumpkin-themed food and desserts this time of year, including pumpkin spice cheesecake and pumpkin pie. On their dinner menu, try the Local Pear & Pumpkin salad, with pumpkin sourced from local farm Carman Acre Farms.

D’Lish by Tish Cafe: D’Lish is known for their heart-warming soup, and fall is one of the best times to enjoy a cup or bowl of their delicious flavours. In October, check their daily soup schedule for fall favourites like the vegan spiced pumpkin soup, turkey dinner soup, and butternut squash soup.

Darkside Donuts: Head to Darkside to check out their October Throwback Menu, which is in celebration of their one year anniversary. The menu will feature customer favourites including the “Mr. Harry,” which is a pumpkin cheesecake donut.

Little Bird Patisserie & Cafe: Visit Little Bird for traditional Thanksgiving pumpkin pies, which can be pre-ordered until October 10. They will also have a pumpkin pie hot chocolate, which is a great way to switch it up from the classic pumpkin latte.

Citizen Cafe & Bakery: Citizen has a delicious pumpkin red lentil soup to warm you up on a cold day, and they have pumpkin chocolate cookies, too. Try their pumpkin spice latte made with whole spices and real pumpkin puree, perfect for fall weather.

City Perks Coffeehouse: City Perks knows how to do pumpkin, and it shows with their wildly popular pumpkin chai cheesecake, which features a caramel rum sauce. They also have a maple pumpkin latte, made with house-made syrup, pumpkin pie, chocolate pumpkin torte, and a pumpkin white chocolate cranberry muffin. Delicious!

Find Delicious Pumpkin in Regina

13th Avenue Food & Coffee House: Running throughout fall, 13th Avenue serves up delicious pumpkin and squash soups made with produce from their large garden. They also make pumpkin spice syrup from scratch, which is delicious in their pumpkin spice latte.

Lancaster Taphouse: For October, Lancaster will have a Pumpkin Feature Menu, which has tons of tasty dishes, including starters like pumpkin turmeric soup and pumpkin hummus with baguette. For your main, try the pumpkin coconut curry served over a bed of jasmine rice, or the pumpkin vegan mac and cheese, which sounds like dairy-free heaven! Finish off your pumpkin feast with their pumpkin chocolate brownie, complete with ice cream and whipped cream.

Naked Bean Espresso Bar & Cafe: Visit Naked Bean for a delicious pumpkin spice latte made with their in-house syrup and custom roasted Caliber Espresso. Pair your latte with homemade vegan pumpkin loaf, or one of their shortbread cookies in seasonal flavours, including pumpkin spice, dark chocolate, pistachio, and chai spice.

Skye Cafe & Bistro: For a few weeks in October, Skye Cafe & Bistro is featuring a maple and chili roasted pumpkin and root vegetable soup on the menu. It’s served with pear goat cheese, candied sunflower seeds and crispy kale.

Sinfully Sweet Cathedral Bakery: Pick up some delicious treats at Sinfully Sweet, or sit down to enjoy them with a friend. Their pumpkin creations this season include pumpkin pie cupcakes, pumpkin cinnamon buns, pumpkin cinnamon knots, pumpkin tarts and the classic pumpkin pie. They also have pumpkin hand pies, which are puffed pastry filled with pumpkin pie filling — sounds amazing!
